Latest Cards

21 06 2009

Here are a few cards I’ve been working on for the last few months. It’s a little difficult with 2 little kiddies climbing on me all the time, but I managed to get some done for special occasions anyway. Enjoy!

I love this Baby Shower card I made for a couple from church. I think the Clear Stamp from Studio G is totally and completely adorable!
Baby Shower Diaper Card

I love this other simple Baby Shower Card for hubby’s cousin. I got to use my brand new Fiskars Scallop punch and my Hampton Art Create-A-Card stamp set. It’s so easy to make my own cards!

A previous co-worker approached me to make a card for her mom’s doctor and staff who attended to her during a recent open heart surgery. This is one of the reason why I love making cards!
Thanks Card

Last mother’s day, I was able to make this card using stamps from Studio G and Rhonna Farrer (Autumn Leaves).
Mother's Day Card

Father’s Day is always challenging, so I decided to make a trifold design and use scrap paper and a printed sentiment. I found the font I’ve been searching for a long time ands extremely excited to use it in this project.

Christmas 2008 Cards

20 12 2008

I finally finished designing, cutting, gluing, scanning and printing our Christmas cards this year. (okay some of them!) They’re Handmade Cut Paper Art!

I took an advice from a co-worker that makes her own cards too. She said to make prints of your work if you’re giving them out to a lot of people. It’s true that not everyone will keep the card you made so you might as well save it for those people who will keep it.

I would like to thank Ellia for introducing me to Cut Paper Illustrations! Who knew that I can actually make use of the papers I’ve been collecting for years.

Mom’s Birthday Card

5 10 2008

One of the reasons I started making cards a long time ago is because I loved making them for my mom even when I was a little kid. Being too young to afford any presents for special occasions, making her a special card has always been something I looked forward too. I remember cutting up card stock and decorating them with scraps and of paper, stickers, crayon and markers. Now, I have all these grown up toys I can play with and use on the cards. What joy! =)
